The Secret Place - Part 2

God, Prayers No Comments »

“He that dwelleth in the secret place” [Psalm 91:1]

Everything in your life will conspire to
keep you out of the secret place with God.
When that happens, you will start to fail in other areas.
You ask, ‘’Why is it such a battle?'’
The secret place is where you meet God to be
instructed…cleansed…corrected…loved…built up…
and prepared for your future.

It can be ANYWHERE but it must be SOMEWHERE
It can be ANY TIME but it must be A SET TIME.

It must become the most important appointment in your day.
Listen, “Morning by morning He wakens me & open
my understanding to His will” [Isa 50:4]

Jesus often rose before daybreak,
because He knew what was waiting for Him.
He made deposits in the morning so that
He could make withdrawals the rest of the day.
CHILD OF GOD, WITHOUT TIME SPENT IN THE SECRET PLACE
WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO DRAW ON?

You will work harder & harder, and accomplish less & less,
because are operating in your own strength.
But after you have prayed, you will struggle less & less, and
accomplish more & more, because you’re operating in His strength.

Do not get so involved in the WORK OF THE LORD
that you neglect the LORD OF THE WORK.

The Bible says,
“That I may progressively become more deeply
and intimately aquainted with Him”
Nothing will be born without intimacy.
Everthing you really want is in God’s presence.
Have you been there today???

THE POWER OF STILLNESS BEFORE GOD…

THE POWER OF STILLNESS BEFORE GOD

“In quietness and trust is your strength” Isaiah 30:15

Quiet time is a precious commodity in this fast-paced noisy world.
TV is on, cellphone is ringing, computer is on, CD player is playing.
That is why the early morning hours are ideal for quiet time with God.
The morning is your chance to spend time with God before the world fully awakens.

To ready your heart & mind for a meaningful time of prayer,
adopt these 3 habits recommended by David Jeremiah.
Firrst, ANTICIPATE His presence.
God is coming to see you, his sole desire to spend time precious moments with you.
Second, ACKNOWLEDGE that God is now present, sitting next to you,
ready to listen to you and give you advice and direction.
Third, ACCLIMATE your mind, body and heart to receive and accept His Word.

When your heart, mind, & body have been readied, call upon the Holy Spirit to pray.
The Holy Spirit helps us align correctly to our heavenly Father.
Prayer is not just about you; it is about your prayer being connected
to the transformer of the Holy Spirit. Now your prayer can be powerful.

It is the connection that will transform your prayer to life.
Once you connect the power of your prayer will be awesome.
Once you have told Him everythingthat is on your mind,
make sure you spend some time LISTENING.
Open your ears and heart to what God has to say.
Prayer is personal and 2-way.
You have enterd into a new dimension of spirituality
when you are comfortable in His presence & do not feel obligated to talk.
Those who learn to ‘practice His presence’ have learn to ‘pray without ceasing’
[Thessalnians 5:17]
When I have my quiet times, I leave with God and prayer does not stop!

God always ready to help us seek peace & quiet in this hectic world.
So go to taht quiet place, remembering that when you pray,
He will listen. Once you have said “Amen” remain silent and listen,
for God is also ready to speak and to guide you through this life.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go” [Psalm 32:8]

EVERY NEW MORNING…

God, Prayers, jesus No Comments »

Each new morning is spread before us like a blank canvas to paint as we wish. And the begining of every new morning provides us with a choice as to who will be guiding our paint brust that day.
Will it be your ego or your loving God?
If you are wise, you will allow your hand to be directed by the Master Painter and the Ultimte Designer.
God is our Creator, Companion, Protector, Confidant, and Friend the One that will help you facewhatever life may bring.
Only in His power can you push away feelings of doubt, dismay, disappointment, and discouragement and fill your mind with peace, love , happiness, hope, creativity, and a sense of expectancy.

Jesus Himself made prayer an “a.m.” priority.
Jesus chose to get up “very early in the morning, while it was still dark” & go “off to a solitary place, where he prayed”[Mark 1:35].
Do you choose to be that committed to prayer?

If God is not first in our thoughts & efforts in the morning, He will be the last place the remainder of the day”

In the morning we need to enter in a place of prayer, close the door, & meet with God to receive our marching orders.

Once we have gathered our supernatural provision of morning manna, once we have feasted upon Christ & the word, we  can then rise in His strength to face the challenges of the day.

Remember Prayer is simply a way of communicating with our Friend & Savior, Jesus Christ. He is ready to take your hand and lead you to Father God.

Finally, remember prayer is a 2-way street.

After you have spent some time praying,
be sure to spend some time in silence before God,
listening for His direction - His instructions for you day.

As you continue to seek God every morning,
Jesus will come & touch you, saying,
“Arise, and do not be afraid”[Matthew 17:7]
